The episode came out really well, and Steph and Dan give hilarious performances as Wilhelmina and her date Peter!  You can check out earlier episodes of the series, plus the trailer, here.

Unfortunately, it looks like this is the final episode in the series, but I've got some other exciting projects in the works.  I'll keep you posted.  Expect some updates soon.

It's a really well-written critical analysis of the series thus far.  I knew the piece was in the works, since Matt Maul, the author of it, interviewed me a while ago.  Evan and I are both excited about it, especially since it's thoughtful and overwhelmingly positive!  Here's a particularly flattering part of it:

...don't be fooled by its chosen venue.  1,001 Online Dates is no cheaply made, amateurish YouTube effort.  Outings one and two are polished productions that play out as "date procedurals" in the form of an appealing mashup between the dialogue-driven In Treatment and the madcap Love, American Style.

That's right!  Gawker.tv posted episode 01 of 1,001 Online Dates and wrote a review about it on their site today.  We were included in their feature Must Watch Web Series, which scours the Internet tirelessly for the best video entertainment that the web has to offer.  This is really exciting, and we couldn't be happier.

"The first episode of 1,001 Online Dates is out, and it's as gleefully awkward as we had hoped.  The episode has a relatable, improvised feel and anyone who has surfed relationship sites will see the inherent dark humor," wrote Gawker.tv's Ajay Mehta.  "The production values are surprisingly good, given what most expect from an online-only stint.  We're looking forward to more tales of NYC dating horror stories from these guys in the months to come.  Online dating is a neat invention, but as we can see from this new upstart series, it can go very, very wrong."

Yay!

I just posted it!  You can watch it here.  Have a look, and please spread the word.  Let your friends, family and co-workers know.  Embed the video on your blog or site.  Call your grandparents, and tell them about it.

Everybody did a fantastic job.  It looks great, and it's hilarious.  I'm really happy with how it turned out, and I'm excited to show it around as many places as possible.

Thanks to everyone who pitched in!  And to those of you watching, enjoy!

Yesterday, the PIT posted the trailer for 1,001 Online Dates on its blog.  This is really exciting and flattering, since 1,001 Online Dates is a project that totally came to exist because of the PIT.  Evan and I met in a comedy improv class there and came up with the idea for the series while riding the subway home back to Brooklyn.  Most of the cast and crew are people we've met in classes at the PIT, we're both still taking classes there and we very much enjoy being part of the community.

Thanks to Jeff Lepine for posting the trailer!  And the series is definitely going to continue to fill its cast with the lovely and talented people we've gotten to know at the PIT.

Also, I was at the bar at the new theater last night.  They serve Blue Moon.  Awesome.  I'm going to be there pretty regularly, I'd imagine.

In other news, episode 01 should finally be up by the end of the week.  Please check back!

This is really exciting!  The trailer hasn't even been up for 24 hours, and it's already gotten a lot of hits.  Gawker.tv posted the trailer, and wrote a short blurb about it.  You can have a look here.

Have a look, and please let us know what you think in the comments.  You can watch it here, or by browsing on over the official 1,001 Online Dates website.  Thanks!

The official site for 1,001 Online Dates is now live.  Just click on over to the website and have a look around.  It's a little bare at the moment, but more content will be added shortly.

You can expect to see a trailer comprised of footage from episodes 01 and 02 shortly after Thanksgiving.

Have a great holiday!  Here's hoping you have a humiliation-free full body scan at the airport.
