Here you go. Add Comment Please watch this short, called The Taste of Coffee, that I made with Phil Magbitang, Phil Casale and Gaby Dunn. We improvised it over the course of a single day, and it was a lot of fun to make. The performances have a nice, natural feel that I enjoy, and I’m happy with how the lone special effect in it came out. I don’t want to spoil anything, so you’ll have to watch this to see for yourself. We shot this in September, and ended up with about 4 1/2 hours worth of material. I’d promised my PITtv team Top Secret Projector Room that I’d get it down to under 5 minutes, so it took a very long time to complete. There’s also a lot of funny stuff that I couldn’t include. But enjoy this! I co-directed this video, which is called Noelis, and also did the voice-over. You can learn more about Top Secret Projector Room here, here and here. This is a camera test I did for a PITtv video that currently has the working title Cosmic Microwave Background Radiation. I wanted to make a subject, in this case my cat Oliver, transparent and so shot some footage and repeated it on the timeline at different opacity levels. There's no audio. Check out the new video from my PITtv team Lefthook called the Baby Who Probably Wished He Had No Fathers. I made it with my teammate Thomas Michael because a) we wanted to test out some new camera equipment I’d purchased, and b) we want to make improvised comedy videos. The “I” in PIT does stand for “improv”, after all. We gathered up a couple friends, went to the PIT and recruited a few other people who were hanging around. This is what we came up with. We think it came out well enough so that we want to make more improvised videos, albeit perhaps with a bit more planning involved. But I still think this is a really funny movie, and the performances in it are hilarious. PITtv Team Lefthook Presents: The Baby Who Probably Wished He Had No Fathers In the moments before an exploitative talk show shoots an episode in which one of three men will be revealed as the father of a single mother’s baby, the Assistant Director tries to remain professional amidst the chaos. Starring: Christine Holt, Adrian Sexton, Phil Magbitang, Thomas Michael, Patrick Cucuta and Dan Abrams Produced by: Mark L. Feinsod and Thomas Michael Directed/edited by: Mark L. Feinsod Story by: Thomas Michael My New Video Called Every Country in the World vs. the U.S.! is Now Out - Please Watch It!07/27/2011 The PIT recently started a video production department, which they organized into teams of people making comedic videos for the Internet. I was chosen to be on Lefthook, which is comprised of seven talented, funny individuals. I'll post the movies I have a large hand in, such as the ones I write or direct. To see everything by Lefthook, please go to our website. This is my first Lefthook video, which is called Every Country in the World vs. the U.S.! I wrote/directed/drew the pictures for it, and my teammates also contributed: Thomas Michael did the voice-over, while Emerald Catron helped out with audio engineering. |
